VfR Aalen was formed in 1921 as the football section of a gymnastics club called MTV Aalen.
Since its formation the club has played in the lower tiers of German football, and currently plays in the 3 Bundesliga.
Stadium
Aalen play at the Scholzarena. The stadium was recently upgraded and now has a capacity of 14500, including 4685 seats. Average attendance last year was 6575.
Tickets
Ticket prices range from 10 euros to 20 euros and you will have no problem getting a ticket at the ground before the game. You will find the most Aalen fans in the standing section of the East Stand.
Directions
You can get a train from Stuttgart to Aalen. It’s then a 30-minute walk to the stadium.
